Cecil David Lossy, born and raised in Berkeley, California, is an award-winning independent director and lighting designer with over 20 years of experience in video production, corporate media, and event lighting.
After graduating from Humboldt State University with a self-designed bachelor’s degree in Technology in the Arts, Cecil built a career combining creativity, technology, and storytelling. His expertise spans lighting, sound design, film direction, and video production for both private and corporate clients.
Together with the Magical Lighting team, Cecil collaborates with a trusted network of event professionals and technical specialists across the San Francisco Bay Area, ensuring every project runs smoothly from concept to completion.
He currently resides in Berkeley, CA, with his family, and enjoys sailing, hiking, biking, music, film, and the arts.
